Description
The purpose of this assessment is to determine the proficiency level for an Advanced Rigger who possesses extensive expertise, often exceeding 5 years of experience beyond that of a Rigger. Rigging constitutes their primary full-time responsibility, enabling them to consistently make informed decisions and discern between correct and incorrect practices. They are adept at resolving issues that others may encounter, showcasing their proficiency. Their comprehensive knowledge base encompasses: Proficiency in load charts, including radius and tip height considerations. Adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. The ability to contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive lift plan. Advanced understanding of crane operations, encompassing a broader spectrum of crane-related knowledge. A deep appreciation for general crane safety principles, including the impact of weight on boom deflection. Familiarity with the assembly and disassembly processes of various crane types and associated attachments, such as lattice booms, counterweights, and jibs. A thorough understanding of relevant federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring compliance within their operations.
